Gutfeld: Observance the Pringle Can Designer
So last hebdomad, a true American fighter passed away and the insistence barely informated a news.
I am talk about Fredric J. Baur, the adult male who made the spud crisp publicity system for Pringles - otherwise known as “a tin with an eyelid.”
This is the sterling single design in the noshing world, but our mainstream media gave care more about the expiry of noted French decorator Yves St. Laurent.
Baur patented the tin in 1966 and it apace changed the fashion fat citizenry like me got fatter, kicking upstairs itself beyond snacking losers like Funyuns, Bugles and the repugnant Munchos.
It wasn’t so much the tin can, but the manner in that the fries were well. This precluded breaking and tumbling - a common job among french and elderly adult females. I got so dependent on the smooth curve of Pringles that if I came up across a crushed chip, I would throttle a pet. I named this “Pringle rage.”
But here’s the matter: Baur sed chips at 89. The way guru popped off at 71.
This understandably points out that the world of noshing is farred healthier than the world of non snacking.
In fact, if you take a face at all our noshing giants - McDonalds’ Ray Kroc conked at 82 and Orville Redenbacher bugged out his last corn at 88 - you can understand that the secret to length of service is a savory one. Snack nutrient giants far outlast fashion interior decorators by decenniums. I’d cite more evidence, but is that genuinely necessary?
Eventually, as you may know, Fredic inquired to be crematedded and interred in a Pringles can, where I’m sure he will stay fresh and crisp forever.
And if you dissent with me, then I hope your teen daughter gets meaning.
