Gutfeld: The Biggest Problem With the Web

On Wednesday, Gawker ran an item on Tony Snow, the former White House spokesman and just-hired CNN talk head. He’s existed fighting malignant neoplastic disease for a duet of geezerhood now and on Wednesday he had got to get in the infirmary.

Gawker’s item was untypical in its arch snark, in that it attempted to frame the point in lame sincerity. The author wished Mr. Snow well, lease us know that “any one thinks of Snow’s piece of work on behalf of the Bush disposal, he is a human being.”

Hey, thanks for that.

But, it’s genuinely Gawker’s faceless commenters who take morbid glee in Snow’s poor wellness:

“Maybe his unwellness will help him realize what enduring means,” one brave blogger writes, “since Snow took to be the official prevarication apologist and enabler for the government that pulled those breakings against human existences.”

Another composes, “I wonder if he of all time thinks about the citizenry who have the same disease… and no policy.”

And my favorite: “I cannot feel regretful for this bastard. Karma is a royal bitch, isn’t it, Tony?”

When you read this stuff, you right away want to chase these chickens down and beat the sh_t out of them. But that’s impossible. The fearful creeps who post this stuff do so without name calling. And that’s wherefore they do it, making for themselves a false sense of powerfulness and accomplishment they do non possess in their fringy lives.

If Gawker held any balls, they would inquire these idiots to go away their name calling and numbers, particularly if they conceive in their persuasions strongly enough to laugh at an sickly man.

But I’m sure if name calling were needed, they would take for granted a roach-like reaction: Flash a light and they scurry away.
